The Dayara Bugyal Trek is a mesmerizing journey offered by Himalaya Shelter, nestled in the tranquil Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Known for its scenic beauty, this trek takes you through the rolling slopes of Dayara Bugyal, one of the most beautiful high altitude meadows in India. The trek can be initiated from either Raithal or Barsu and is often completed in a loop, returning to the same base camp. An alternative option is to start the trek from Raithal and end at Barsu. The trek route meanders through enchanting Oak forests and offers stunning views of the snow-clad peaks. Peaks such as Srikantha (6,133 m), Jaonli (6,632 m), and Draupadi ka Danda are visible. Dayara Bugyal is a meadow trek that can be completed in either 3 days or 5 days, depending on the route you choose. The total trek distance is around 20 km. The Dayara meadows are renowned for their beauty. During the winter months, the lush green meadows transform into a sprawling snow ground, making it an ideal spot for skiing or snowboarding. This is usually possible from the end of December to early March. The Dayara Bugyal Trek is considered to be easy, making it suitable even for a 10-year-old. While descending from Dayara towards Barsu, trekkers come across Barnala Meadows with Barnala Tal, a small lake offering beautiful views of snow-capped peaks in the background.
